Calvin Park & Polson Park – Kingston

These “twin” neighbourhoods were built during the 1940’s to the 1960’s. They are both centrally located in the city.

Being older neighbourhoods, the trees have had years to mature. There are many green areas in here and the parks have served as stomping grounds for many Kingstonians over the years. You will find soccer fields and even a skateboard park to provide a certain amount of stress for all the parents watching kids in the halfpipe (me). This is where the Kingston version of the Brady Bunch lives since many families know it is a wonderful place to raise kids. Retirees, reluctant to leave the area also live here since the location can’t be beat.

The real estate listings range in prices from $425 (semi’s/townhouses) to $800. You may stumble upon a great deal in this area if you are willing to update and possibly get rid of the mint green paint and shag rug (unless you like shag?!) Nothing can replace the neighbourly feel of the area. Growing up here is easy.
