Reddendale- Kingston

Houses that list here don’t stay on the market long. With a community pool nearby (awesome lessons and neighbourhood camaraderie), the solitude of the nearby trails at Lemoine’s point (my fave), a hockey arena and schools- Reddendale lacks for nothing. Having the lake nearby, you don’t have to own waterfront to enjoy the view. Homeowners get to know each other through an active property owner’s association which was formed to take care of waterfront property deeded to the residents for their use only – huge bonus! Many of the smaller cottage type homes are being replaced by new builds. The location is top notch so many buyers have seen the tearing down and rebuilding as investments. As the cliché goes, “they ain’t making waterfront anymore”. Windsurfers/kiters and outdoor enthusiast will be stoked to find great launches off the shores of Everitt Point in pretty much any wind blowing our way.

Almost half the homes in the area were custom-built from the mid 40’s to 1960’s. In the 1970’s, another small building spurt saw larger executive homes spring up on farmland bordering the water. Generally, prices start at $550K for smaller bungalows sitting on lovely lots but as I said, don’t be shocked to see new builds with million dollar views along the lake.  As I said, homes don’t sit on the market long in this neighbourhood; that in itself speaks volumes. By the way, check out Mama Mia pizza if you have a hankering for a great old school delicious pizza or Days on Front for a sit-down meal- both on your doorstep.
