Sydenham – Kingston
A stroll around Sydenham neighbourhood and you will feel like you have gone back in time. It is not difficult to envisage Kingston 100 years ago with many of the city’s oldest homes being located here. This is Kingston central – Princess St. to the north, Lake Ontario breezes to the south/east and tree lined Barrie St. to the west. Thousands of people have walked these sidewalks- back and forth to Queen’s (including myself)- great memories are in these streets. The area is rich in history with construction dating back to the mid 1800’s. Some of Kingston’s most charming bed & breakfasts are tucked away in here. The Kingston Yacht club, courthouse, City park , City hall and Confederation basin are all sites you will see as you walk along the sidewalks. Downtown is buzzing with street lined outdoor cafes and restaurants. Some of the best food in the city in this district. We are very lucky to have such a beautiful downtown core with merchants who are desperately trying to maintain their presence for all of our benefits. I don’t think you can beat Kingston – especially in the summertime. Having lived on William St. for 8 years, I can say that it really is a convenient and terrific place to call home. Wondering about price? Not cheap, but unique. I’m happy to show you around.
