Sunnyside – Kingston
Sunnyside is tucked in between Princess St. to the north, Union St. to the south, Albert St. to the east and Palace Rd./Sir John A.Macdonald Blvd. to the west. Many of the residents are able to walk to work at neighbouring Kingston General Hospital and Queen’s University. Princess St. is a short stroll away for shopping and local bus routes passing by your door make getting around very easy. The majority of the homes are older, many having undergone beautiful transformations and renovations inside. A few new subdivisions have popped up in the past decade offering house hunters the possibility of having a new construction in the heart of Kingston. Hillcroft Dr., located off Union St., is a unique older neighbourhood offering residents exclusive use of the neighbourhood pool. Sunnyside is also the home of the Kingston Tennis & Lawn Bowling clubs. The atmosphere is welcoming and low key. Summer programs for the kids are offered and booking courts is rarely an issue. There is everything from older brick bungalows to newer homes built along Union St./ Macdonnell St. In general you can expect to pay anywhere from $550 to over $1M with a few condo’s on Regent (near Princess) in the mid $300’s.
